Originally, the Tolerance Poster Show was supposed to open in Iceland as part of the Design March Festival. Unfortunately, Because of Covid-19 the festival had been postponed. The organizer, FÍT ( Félag íslenska teiknara) and The Association of Icelandic Graphic Designers 2020 , decided to re-open the festival, from June 24th - 29th in Hafnartorg, 101 Reykjavík . The Tolerance Poster Project was exhibited alongside the Art Directors Club of Europe 2019 Gold Winners traveling exhibition in Tryggvagata 21 , at the "harbour square", where much of the Design March activity was taking place. I want to send a special thank you to Director of the Board, Kristín Eva Ólafsdótti and Curator, Becky Forsythe, for their effort in organizing this show.
THE TOLERANCE PROJECT has brought a message of social acceptance to over 400,000 people in 46 countries. Founded by artist-activist Mirko Ilić, this initiative showcases posters designed by artists from around the world. THE TOLERANCE PROJECT starts a conversation about inclusion, which can only begin with a foundation of tolerance. The show utilizes the unique power of design to remind us what we all have in common.
