Tolerance Posters

O n July 26th, 2025, a student Tolerance workshop was held for young school students aged 16-18 at June Art Home in Phitsanulok, Thailand. This was the second Tolerance workshop held there . A total of 23 hand-drawn, innovative and visually-stunning student Tolerance posters were created and displayed alongside the main Tolerance Poster Show. June Art Home was founded by Chitlada Wiriyaprasit – June in 1997. Her school focuses on kids and youth. She teaches her students with an open-ended approach in mind, which gives them a broad degree of freedom to create their art and design. Starting with painting, clay work, and collage art, she now also hosts alternative movie screenings and partners with organizations to create activities that help kids and youth enjoy art. This workshop was made possible by the tireless efforts of Chitlada Wiriyaprasit – June, Kritchanat Plianchoei – Ton, Paphawarin Seeladee – June, and Akarawut Kraikhajornkiti – Nae, with support from North Danaiphan.

On Tuesday, March 4th, at 12 PM, I gave a lecture titled "Design Activism" at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. The lecture was organized by Maja Budec Stanicic and Aljosa Puzar.  

Here is the first announcement for my lecture 'Design Activism' on December 12th in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje, North Macedonia. Additionally, on December 6th, the Tolerance Poster Show will open at the Faculty of Architecture, both in the gallery and on the street in front of the building. To commemorate the   International  Day for Tolerance   on November 16, Mirko Ilic held a walking tour through the  Tolerance Poster Show   at the University of Delaware 's main campus.  The event was attended by students and university professors, including Suzanne Burton,  Sr. Associate Dean at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) , José-Luis Riera, Vice President for Student Life and Blažo Kovačević, who helped organise the exhibition and walking tour. This event was brought to life through the support of the Visiting Speaker Committee of the Department of Art and Design   along with   contributions from the Margaret P. On Friday, September 13th, an exhibition of Tolerance posters opened at the DSa gallery, located in a former cement factory in Hangzhou, China. The posters are designed by participants of the  Masterclass of Visual Design Exploration , which I led. The participants' posters are exhibited alongside the  Tolerance Poster Show , which opened in the same space on Sunday, September 1st. In the coming months, among others, Fons Hickmann, Shun Sasaki, Dan Solbach, Lin Shaobin, Peter Bankov, Mao Yiting, René Grohnert, Taku Satoh, Sven Ingmar Thies, Kakinokihara Masahiro, Marc Schütz, Chimo, Nikita Iziev, Yu Yuequ, Lizzy Onck, and Nejc Prah will teach at the  DesignSummer academy (DSa) . This masterclass is part of the DesignSummer academy (DSa), organized by  hesign studio  and the  Center for Visual Arts Berlin . Special thanks go to  Jumping He  and his hesign studio, whose relentless efforts made this workshop and the show possible....
