Lecture and Student Workshop at Chavon Campus La Romana

On November 23rd 2022, I gave the lecture "Design Activism" on the importance of free expression and art activism at  Chavón Campus La Romana   in La Romana, the Dominican Republic. After that, I had a three day Tolerance poster workshop with students from different countries with assistance from professor Elías Roedán. On January 9th, the school will hold a show of the posters created by the students at the workshop at   Chavón Campus Miraflores   in Santa Domingo. The workshop was organized and made possible by Adolfo Lucero, Vice Chancellor, Elías Roedán, Academic Coordinator and Martha Victoria, Administrative Director at CHAVON The School of Design.

Tolerance Poster Show in the Dominican Republic Part 2

During the month of February and for the second time in less than a year Chavon the school of design affiliated to Parsons the New School for Design presented on its campus in the city of Santo Domingo the Tolerance Poster show . This show will hold a number of new posters as well as the inclusion of posters from the last show. I would especially like to thank Adolfo Lucero, Vice President of the school, because it was his idea to create a second rendition of the show.

Tolerance Poster Show in Dominican Republic

The Tolerance traveling poster show opened yesterday, November 28th at Altos de Chavón School of Design i n Santo Domingo. The show was opened by Santiago (Chago) García,  designer from Dominican Republic and contributor to the Tolerance show.  Because of the configuration of the school this is one of the rare cases where the show wasn’t exhibited outside. We would like to thank Adolfo Lucero, Vice President of the school, for making this show possible. He w as also in charge of organizing and designing the show.  I think that the artists' photographs, bios, and flags under each poster is an especially nice touch.
