On June 2nd alongside a Tolerance Poster Show that was a part of the Creative Industries Festival (FIC) in Chișinău, Moldova, I gave a lecture titled "Design of Dissent". My lecture was about graphic designers' responsibility to their fellow citizens. It shows some examples of the Tolerance Project and lots of amazing examples of political and social design activism from different designers around the world. The event took place as a part of FIC, organized by Artcor, with support from the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau , Agenția de Investiții din Moldova , The Technologies of the Future Project Fundația Moldcell , and was funded by Innovate Moldova , UK in Moldova - British Embassy Chisinau and Ministerul Culturii al Republicii Moldova as well as USAID Moldova .
THE TOLERANCE PROJECT has brought a message of social acceptance to over 400,000 people in 46 countries. Founded by artist-activist Mirko Ilić, this initiative showcases posters designed by artists from around the world. THE TOLERANCE PROJECT starts a conversation about inclusion, which can only begin with a foundation of tolerance. The show utilizes the unique power of design to remind us what we all have in common.
