Tolerance Poster Show in Kharkiv, Ukraine

Tolerance Poster Show was part of the PLAN B fest youth festival in Kharkiv, Ukraine. 
The festival lasted for from February 15-17th and was attended by 2000 young visitors.

The Show united day and night locations. The exhibition took place simultaneously in Mental Complex Studio, the festival’s daytime location and was presented on the Loft stage of the Opera Theater CXID OPERA, where the main night venue of Plan B festival took place.
The show was put together by a bunch of young volunteers. After the festival the organizer gave the volunteers a chance to choose a posters of their liking to take home as an award for their hard work.

A Special thank you to the organizer, Rajko Božić for his generosity and effort. 
This is already the third show he has organized in the Ukraine.

Lecture to Future Police Officers on Symbols of Hate

On December 6th, a lecture on symbols of hate was held by Mirko Ilić for 48 new police recruits in the Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Skopje, North Macedonia. Mirko Ilic was invited to come to the Center by invitation of the Assistant Minister of the Training Center, Mr. Vlatko Mitkovski. During the lecture, Ilić spoke about the importance of recognizing and understanding the meaning of the symbols of hate used by neo-Nazis, racists, and various hate groups, which bombard society daily through the Internet, street graffiti, and different sports fan groups. He explained how police officers, as part of their professional work, must learn to recognize these symbols and do everything in their power to stop the spread of these messages of hate and bring positive changes to the community. Walking Tour at the University of Delaware

To commemorate the   International  Day for Tolerance   on November 16, Mirko Ilic held a walking tour through the  Tolerance Poster Show   at the University of Delaware 's main campus.  The event was attended by students and university professors, including Suzanne Burton,  Sr. Associate Dean at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) , José-Luis Riera, Vice President for Student Life and Blažo Kovačević, who helped organise the exhibition and walking tour. This event was brought to life through the support of the Visiting Speaker Committee of the Department of Art and Design   along with   contributions from the Margaret P. Lecture "Design Activism" in Skopje, North Macedonia

On December 5th, Mirko Ilić gave a lecture on design and activism in front of more than 200 guests at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje, North Macedonia. The lecture is part of Ilic’s visit to Skopje, which accompanies the opening of the Tolerance Poster Show. Ilić's lecture was introduced by the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Ognen Marina, and a speech was also given by the founder of Vidi Vaka, Goran Igić, who also organized these events. Among the attendees were high school pupils from the School of Art and the gymnasium Orce Nikolov, deputy minister of Police, Mr. Vlatko Mitkovski, with teachers from the Police Academy, activists, representatives of the civic sector, Open Society Foundation, NDI and representatives of the design and comic books community.
