Tolerance Poster Workshop in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

On Friday, October 21st, we had a Tolerance poster workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo for students from four art academis in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Trebinje and Široki Brijeg). They created their Tolerance posters as a product of the intense work over several days.

The workshop was made possible with the enormous help from the academies' professors. We especially want to extend our gratitude to professor Bojan Hadžihalilović who conceived the idea and organized this workshop.

Moreover, the Tolerance workshop with the fine art academies is realized to mark 2022 – the European Year of Youth. It is supported by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina & the EU Info Centre in BiH.

2nd Tolerance Posters Show in Zagreb, Croatia

On November 16th, the International Day of Tolerance , the Tolerance Poster Show was displayed in the center of Zagreb on the fence of the Botanical Garden . Here is a link to a short video of the show . Unfortunately only 24 hours later, the show was "attacked" by Neo-Nazis graffitis. On the posters, they wrote "NDH", which is the abbreviation for Nezavisna Država Hrvatska (Independent State of Croatia) a Second World War puppet state of Nazi Germany. On others, they graffitied the letter "U" which is the symbol for Ustaša the Second World War Croatian fascist organization. And they even wrote "Smrt Srbozločincima" (Death to the Serbian criminals). Luckily, the organizers of the show figured out how to remove this hate speech and the symbols. Outrage over this vandalism, was expressed through all news media in Croatia. Here , here , here , and here are some of the local media reactions. You can see the video of the show here . This show...
